Living 'It' Up
Throughout our lives, we are 'apparently' supposed to live up to certain expectations. Expectations from family, friends, mentors and most importantly ourselves. Expectations that are derived through either societal norms, cultural backgrounds or other external influencers.
For instance, if you are a girl, you are supposed to act like one. You are supposed to color inside the lines and make sure that you that are indeed, the typical definition of a girl. Sometimes what you want or need does not matter. You just need to suppress feelings of your inner identity and be the person others expect you to be. If you don't, then you are simply a rebel. A rebel that has no control over who they are and what they do. Sad reality isn't it? Human beings seem backward that way. They'd much rather conform to social norms.
Each of us have our very own blueprint - an identity that makes us unique. We each have our own calling - a calling that is sometimes unseen or unheard.
Coming to think of it, we have become robotic haven't we? Going through life for the sake of it.
Do we ask ourselves, 'What purpose do I serve here?', 'What is my value addition to the human race?', 'Have I reached that point in my life where I can say, I just love life, I cannot do without it?'....It is possibly a small fraction of people who'd feel positively about these thoughts.
So ask yourself, are you willing to travel through the depths of your soul to find out what will make you better than you already are?
A thought that always crosses my mind when I wake up every morning is the thought of not reaching my fullest potential, not realizing my utmost dreams and not giving life all I have got.
It scares me.
And, because of that I am on a quest to look for answers. Answers to an infinite number of questions. If you stop questioning life, you are certainly not living it. There may not be right or wrong answers but the most important thing is to keep looking. Keep searching for what you believe in.
Once you do, remember the 4A's;
'Accept' yourself for who you truly are.
'Act' on who you want to be.
'Analyze' on how you can improve yourself.
'Align' yourself to enjoy an improved version of yourself.
Why? Because, you can never stop improving yourself. The moment you stop doing that is when you stop trying. Would you really want to be one of those people who'll continue dying without trying?
I don't think so.
Life is a beautiful experience. An experience that can and should be realized.
Experience the tasteful blissfulness. Feel the gain in your pain. Face the wage in your rage.
And, most importantly be that type of person who would die in their grave with a smile on their face.
